Bynder Integration

Rich product content depends on high-quality digital assets, and many organizations govern those assets in Bynder. Conventional PIM–DAM integrations replicate files from the DAM into the PIM, so the same assets end up maintained in two systems. The AtroCore/AtroPIM Bynder integration takes a different approach: Bynder serves as the remote storage backend of AtroCore/AtroPIM. Your assets stay in Bynder, and AtroCore/AtroPIM works with them directly, whenever and wherever they are needed. To increase its performance, only thumbnails are stored directly on the AtroCore Platform.

Bynder Integration

How It Works

  • A one-time connection registers Bynder as a remote file storage in AtroCore/AtroPIM. No further setup is needed for day-to-day work.
  • Multiple remote file storages can be configured side by side, so different file sources can be managed from a single AtroCore/AtroPIM instance.
  • Assets stored in Bynder appear in AtroCore/AtroPIM as native files. Users can preview and download them and link them to products, categories, or any other entity, just like locally stored files.
  • Files uploaded through AtroCore/AtroPIM are stored directly in Bynder, so Bynder remains the central location for asset files.
  • When a file is accessed, exported, or syndicated to a sales channel, AtroCore/AtroPIM can either retrieve it from Bynder on demand and pass it through, acting as a proxy rather than a second repository, or transfer only the file URL. This lets you choose the method that fits the requirements of the receiving system.
  • Changes made to a file in Bynder are reflected in AtroCore/AtroPIM immediately, without an import or update run. Teams always work with the current version of each file.

Key Benefits of the AtroCore/AtroPIM Bynder Integration

Direct Access, No Replication

With no replication between systems, there are no synchronization jobs to configure, monitor, or troubleshoot, and no stale asset copies in the PIM. AtroCore/AtroPIM always reflects the current state of Bynder.

Asset Versioning Across All Touchpoints

Re-uploading a file creates a new version that automatically replaces the previous one in every product, category, and channel where it is used, with no manual relinking. Superseded files are retained as archived versions, so no asset is ever lost.

A Single Source of Truth Across Teams

Brand and marketing teams continue to govern assets in Bynder, while product teams use the same assets in AtroCore/AtroPIM for enrichment and channel publishing. Cross-functional workflows run on one asset base, without manual file handoffs between departments.

Reduced Infrastructure Overhead

Asset binaries are not stored on the AtroCore/AtroPIM server, which minimizes the storage footprint, lowers infrastructure costs, and removes the need to back up the same media in two places.
