Turn your existing product data into fully compliant Digital Product Passports. The passport is published automatically and accessible via QR code or direct link, while your internal systems stay private.
Digital Product Passports are becoming a legal requirement across the EU, giving consumers, buyers, and regulators instant access to structured product information. AtroCore/AtroPIM Digital Product Passport (DPP) Software covers everything you need to stay compliant. Your product data is synced automatically to a dedicated DPP web app that displays it to whoever needs it, via QR code or direct link. All your internal systems stay completely private, with no public exposure required. There is nothing to rebuild, nothing to migrate, and no additional infrastructure to manage. Regardless of where your product data currently lives, whether in a PIM, ERP, MDM, PLM, or any other system, this DPP solution consolidates it in one place and publishes it as fully compliant passports.
EU Digital Product Passport Regulations — What You Need to Know
The EU DPP Requirements Explained
- Who must comply: Any manufacturer, importer, distributor, or retailer placing products on the EU market, regardless of where the company is headquartered.
- Structured product data: Manufacturers must provide verified information on materials, components, sustainability metrics, and end-of-life instructions for each product.
- Machine-readable format: Product passport data must be accessible via QR code, NFC tag, or direct URL, scannable by regulators, buyers, and consumers alike.
- EU Central DPP Registry: All passports must be registered in the centralised EU DPP Registry, which goes live in July 2026.
- Product-level compliance: Every individual product placed on the EU market requires its own passport, not one per product line or category.
- Ongoing accuracy: Passport data must remain current, as outdated or incomplete information is treated as non-compliance.
DPP Deadlines Across Industries
- 19 July 2026: EU Central DPP Registry goes live alongside ESPR full application. Preparation becomes urgent for all affected categories.
- 18 February 2027: Battery passports become mandatory for all EV, industrial, and light transport batteries over 2 kWh placed on the EU market.
- Late 2026 to 2027: Delegated acts for textiles, tyres, aluminium, and iron and steel are expected to be adopted, each followed by a compliance window of 12 to 18 months — pushing actual mandatory dates to 2028 or later.
- 2028 to 2029: Electronics, ICT, furniture, and mattresses are expected to enter mandatory scope, subject to delegated acts being finalised.
- By 2030: Remaining high-impact categories — including detergents, packaging, and other consumer goods — are expected to be included.
Our DPP Solution for AtroCore / AtroPIM
Everything you need to publish fully compliant Digital Product Passports, without custom development, without exposing your internal systems, and without disrupting how your team already works.
Automatic Data Sync, Always Current
Product data is pushed to the DPP Web App automatically. Whenever DPP-required product data changes in your systems, the passport is updated automatically, with no manual exports or file transfers.
Your Systems Stay Completely Private
None of your internal systems, whether a PLM, ERP, PIM, or anything else, need to be exposed to the public. Only the DPP Web App is accessible from the outside, keeping everything else fully closed and secure.
Accessible via QR Code or Direct Link
Every product gets a unique URL (or GS1 Digital Link) and QR code that can be printed on packaging, labels, or documentation. Consumers, buyers, and regulators can access the full passport instantly, with no login required.
Built for EU ESPR Compliance
The DPP Web App is designed to meet the data requirements of the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and is updated as new product categories and obligations come into scope.
Simple to Set Up, Easy to Maintain
There is no rebuild, no migration, and no new infrastructure to manage. Your existing product data systems are connected to the DPP Web App via a dedicated module, and your passports go live from there.
Branded Passport Pages
You can easily customize the appearance of your public product passport pages to match your brand identity, giving consumers and partners a consistent and professional experience.
Who Is This Solution For
Our DPP solution is a natural fit for any business that manages product data in AtroCore or AtroPIM and needs to meet EU Digital Product Passport requirements, regardless of industry:
Manufacturers & Brands
You produce goods sold in the EU and own the product data at source. DPP obligations fall directly on you. Our solution lets you publish compliant passports from your existing PIM data automatically, without opening your internal systems to the public.
Importers & Distributors
You handle product data across multiple suppliers and sales channels. Our solution lets you centralise that data in AtroPIM or AtroCore and publish passports for your entire range without custom development or manual data handling.
How our Digital Product Passport Solution Works
The DPP Module connects to your existing product data systems and automatically pushes relevant data to the DPP Web App — including full version history, so every change to a product record is traceable and auditable.
The DPP Web App is a separate, public-facing application that displays the current product passport to anyone accessing it via QR code or direct link.
Your internal systems remain fully isolated from the outside. Only the DPP Web App is publicly accessible.
Product passports are always up to date: the module syncs changes automatically, and each update is versioned so prior states remain accessible if required by regulators.
No manual exports, no file transfers, no additional infrastructure to manage.
Each product receives a unique URL and QR code for use on packaging, labels, or accompanying documentation.
Consumers, buyers, and regulators can access the full product passport instantly — no login or registration required.
Setup is straightforward: connect your data sources, configure the sync rules, and your passports go live automatically.

FAQ — Digital Product Passport App
Do we need to restructure our existing product data to use this solution?
No. The solution is designed to work with the product data structures you already have, regardless of which system they live in. There is no migration, no rebuilding of data models, and no need to start from scratch.
We are not based in the EU. Does this regulation still apply to us?
Yes. The regulation applies to any product placed on the EU market, regardless of where the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer is headquartered. If your products are sold or distributed in the EU, DPP requirements apply to you.
How quickly can we go live after purchasing the solution?
Setup involves connecting the DPP module to your existing product data systems and configuring the connection to the DPP Web App. There is no lengthy implementation process. In most cases, setup is completed within two to four weeks, depending on your existing system landscape.
Can we customise how the product passport looks to our customers?
Yes. The appearance of the public passport pages can be customised to match your brand identity, including colours, logo, and layout, so consumers and partners see a consistent and professional experience.
What happens when EU DPP regulations change or expand to new product categories?
The solution is actively maintained and updated as EU ESPR requirements evolve. When new delegated acts come into scope, the app is updated accordingly, so you do not need to track every regulatory change yourself.
Can the solution handle a large product catalog with thousands of SKUs?
Yes. The DPP Web App is built to handle large product ranges without performance issues. Adding more products or expanding your catalog does not require any architectural changes on your side.
Do we need to use AtroCore or AtroPIM to benefit from this solution?
Yes. The DPP module is developed for AtroCore Data Platform to connect to your existing product data systems, whether that is AtroPIM, or another platform entirely. Get in touch, and we will walk you through the options.
Do you have a solution for the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)?
Yes, we offer a separate solution that covers the requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Get in touch and we will walk you through what is available for your specific compliance needs.
What does the AtroCore DPP Solution cost?
Pricing is individual and depends on the scope of your implementation — amount of product data and required integrations. Plans start at €5,000 per year. Contact us for a tailored quote based on your specific requirements.
Does AtroCore DPP Solution support multi-language or localised DPPs?
AtroCore / AtroPIM supports multi-language product data natively, allowing you to maintain language-specific and market-specific attributes within the same product record. The DPP Web App serves the correct language version based on the access context, so a single product passport can address multiple markets without duplicating your data structure.
Does AtroCore DPP Solution support QR code and GS1 Digital Link integration?
Yes. Each product passport is assigned a unique URL that can be embedded in a QR code or exposed as a GS1 Digital Link. This connects physical products directly to their structured, governed passport data managed within AtroCore / AtroPIM.
How does AtroCore DPP Solution handle ongoing changes in DPP regulations?
DPP regulation evolves continuously through delegated acts and sector-specific updates. AtroCore / AtroPIM addresses this through flexible data modelling and configurable validation logic — new attributes or regulatory requirements can be introduced without redesigning the system architecture.
