Product Bundle Definition
A Product Bundle (also called a Kit) is a group of individual products sold together as a single unit, typically under one SKU and at a combined price. The items in a bundle may be available separately, or they may only be sold as part of the set.
How are bundles managed in a PIM?
A bundle is usually structured as a parent product that references its component items. Each component retains its own product record, but the bundle record holds the combined title, description, images, and pricing. Keeping component data linked rather than duplicated means that a change to an individual product (a new image or updated specification) can flow through to any bundle that contains it.
Why do bundles matter for product data?
Bundles require their own content enrichment: a combined listing needs a title and description that reflects the full set, not just one component. They also add complexity for inventory and feed management, since each sales channel may handle bundle SKUs differently.
